Review of HUNTERS

HUNTERS
Michelle Marquis and Lindsey Bayer
Carina Press, June 22, 2010
ISBN:  9781426890222

Harmony Knox, a Kirillian bounty hunter, has been in an AEssyrian prison for a year after being arrested for smuggling a blaster on the planet in an attempt to apprehend her very dangerous bounty, Prime, a roach-like being that likes to murder and eat other species.  When Harmony is released from prison, she is annoyed to see that her employer sent Bart Tanner, a human bounty hunter with whom she has a very antagonistic relationship, to pick her up.  Bart has a real hatred for Kirillians after being captured by some and forced to fight in matches to the death.  Needless to say, the sparks fly between these two, as they are forced to be together and go after bounties.

HUNTERS is a very entertaining futuristic romance, which has many hot, love scenes bordering on the erotic and a great couple.  Harmony and Bart have some things in common, even though they are from different worlds.  Besides being bounty hunters, they are both covering an intense loneliness.  It is great fun watching these two lost souls slowly realize, that the other one fills up the hole in their lonely life.  While at first, I was concerned about Bart's attitude, he seems to be more in tune to his emotions than Harmony and it's surprising to find that he is a cuddler.  Harmony, on the other hand, has built a wall around her emotions, because of a childhood raised by cold, remote parents.  It takes a near disaster to get her to come to grips with her emotions.  The world-building is, also, excellent and intriguing, and I'm hoping to see more books set in this very imaginative world.

NOTE:  I received this book in return for an impartial review.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review of our book! So glad you liked it. The world of AEssyria is actually from another series we write called The Siren Warrior Chronicles. Have a great 4th.
