LEGEND DESTINY

While on her way to the Academy of Sages for apprentice ceremony, Diony is attacked. Charged with murder, after defending herself, Diony learns that she has a destiny to overthrow the evil Overlord Kaedl, who has brought pain and squalor to the city of Mareese. Diony is confronted with the fact, that she has great powers but lacks knowledge. In order to gain that knowledge before she confronts the Overlord, Diony flees with some friends. Unfortunately, the Overlord still seeks her destruction.
LEGEND DESTINY is an entertaining fantasy with great characters and a couple of lovely romances. Even though, at times, the plot seems a little convoluted and I had to reread portions to get the gist, it did offer a fair amount of enjoyment, especially after the initial stages. I found myself caught up in Diony's plight and rooting for her. Diony's mate, Brynal, is a great hero, because he is so strong and supportive, yet allows Diony to be who she needs to be. Every woman could use a mate like Brynal. There is plenty of action and adventure contained within the pages of LEGEND DESTINY, and the ending is satisfying.
NOTE: I received this copy in return for an impartial review.
